Brett Running has opened Spokane Acupuncture LLC in the Pinestone Business Center, at 2312 N. Cherry, in Spokane Valley.

A law firm previously occupied the 900-square-foot leased space, Running says.

The office will offer traditional acupuncture, herbal medicine, acupressure, and nutrition. It also offers laser acupuncture, which uses a non-invasive, low-power cold laser to stimulate acupuncture points on the body, Running says. He says the services are based in East Asian medical practices and can treat a wide range of conditions, ranging from pain and injury to sleep dysfunction and stress-related illnesses.

He plans to hire a full-time employee and a part-time employee within the next year.

Running received a master’s degree and post-graduate doctorate degree in acupuncture and Oriental medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, of Portland. He has had a license to practice since 2009. Before opening Spokane Acupuncture, Running completed a two-year residency at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine Acupuncture & Herbal Clinic.
